The Maharaja of Vijanagaram first advocated the idea of a medical institution in Lucknow in 1870.However owing to a lack of funding, the concept was scaled back. The idea to start a college to honour the anniversary was prompted by King-Emperor George V's visit in 1905 while he was still the Prince of Wales. It was the late Raja Sir Tassadnq Rasul Khan of Jehangirabad, to whom Sir Harcourt Butler wrote on December 1st, 1905, who came up with this lovely notion to mark the event. The fact that you came up with the first idea for such a movement all on your own must always make you feel proud.

• After adding the required details, you need to scan your photograph into it.
