Merger of CUET, NEET, JEE | CUET Exam Schedule Drawbacks Resolved

According to Kumar in an interview with PTI, the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) are ready to make sure that the second edition of the CUET-UG is error-free.

This year, the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET)-UG will take place in three shifts rather than two, and plans to combine it with important entrance tests like JEE and NEET would be made public at least two years in advance, according to UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar.

According to UGC Chairperson M. Jagadesh Kumar to PTI, the merger of NEET, JEE, and CUET will be declared two years in advance.

According to Kumar in an interview with PTI, the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) are ready to make sure that the second edition of the CUET-UG is error-free.

Regarding the experiences that students had the previous year, I do concur that there were a few centres where there were problems, and this year we are taking care of all matters relating to the kinds of experiences that the students had. The pupils will just have to concentrate on the tests this time, not on any potential problems or how we are handling them.

In order to ensure that the second edition runs smoothly, he stated, "We are doing so by identifying the centres well in advance and by looking at the infrastructure that is available, including the computers, bandwidth, and technical experts at the centres.

I agree that there were a number of issues with the exam last time, but everything is working perfectly now. We have developed a plan with the student's past experiences in mind, and we're prepared to make sure that the applicants just need to worry about the exam and not any hiccups," he said.

The exam's second iteration, which serves as a standard entry point for undergraduate admissions in national centres of higher learning, is due to take place from May 21 to May 31.

As a backup plan, extra computers and additional testing locations have been set up, according to Kumar, so that in the event of a problem, applicants can be sent there and the exam for that shift won't be cancelled.

The UGC president also disclosed that the exam would be held this year in three shifts, a departure from the custom.

The schedule has been chosen so that it will be possible to restart the academic year after this one, he said.
