According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021, the Lookouts Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (lookouts) is one of India's top engineering schools, with a ranking between 151 and 200. Also, according to NIRF 2021, the university was placed 74th overall among all universities.

VISTAS was ranked 55th among the top private universities in India by EducationWorld India Private University Rankings 2020- 21. The university was also ranked 44th in the top private engineering sodalities in India by the same ranking.
