RTMNU has been accredited with an "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2019, which is a government-appointed agency that assesses and accredits higher education institutions in India based on various criteria such as teaching, research, infrastructure, and student services.

Moreover, the university has been consistently ranked among the top universities in the state of Maharashtra, India, by various national and state-level ranking agencies. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021 rankings, RTMNU was ranked in the 101-150 band in the overall university category and 57th in the university category for management.
