The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has launched the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) to rate higher education institutions in India according to a number of criteria, including Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Perception. Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Hyderabad is not currently (2021) ranked by NIRF, nevertheless.

It's important to note that while NIRF rankings can be useful for students and institutions to assess the quality of higher education in India, they are not the sole determinant of an institution's overall academic excellence or reputation. Students should also consider other factors such as faculty, research output, infrastructure, industry collaborations, campus life, and alumni networks when choosing a university or college.
