In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021 rankings, Gujarat Technological University (GTU) was ranked 143rd among engineering colleges in India. In addition to NIRF, GTU has also been ranked highly by other ranking agencies in India. For instance, in the Outlook-ICARE India Rankings 2021, GTU was ranked 51st among engineering colleges in India. In India, in Today's "Best Engineering Colleges 2021" rankings, GTU was ranked 69th in India.
