The Ministry of Education, Government of India, devised the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), an annual ranking system, to place higher education institutions in India according to multiple criteria, including instruction, research, outreach, and perception.
The Central University of Gujarat (CUG) is placed 45th out of all Indian universities in the NIRF rating for 2021. Additionally, it has received rankings of 13 in the "Social Work" category and 28 in the "Overall" category.
CUG's placement in the top 50 universities in India according to the NIRF ranking, one of the most prominent rankings of Indian higher education institutions, is a reference to the quality of its academic offerings, research initiatives, and general performance.
It's crucial to remember that the NIRF rating is based on a predetermined set of factors and shouldn't be the sole factor considered while selecting a university. Before making a choice, it is advised that students take into account a number of aspects, including faculty, infrastructure, research opportunities, and industry partnerships, among others.
