Eligibility Criteria

Any degree of the University of Calicut or any other Institution recognized by the UGC or AICTE in the 10+2+3 pattern (or 10+2+4) under regular stream. In all the cases, the student should have a Bachelor's Degree with not less than 50% in aggregate.

Course : Ph.D.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of marks/grades are permissible based only on the qualifying marks exclusive of the grace mark procedures.  OR

Candidates who have passed M.Phil. with a minimum of grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent) with at least 55% marks in aggregate would be eligible to do research work leading to a PhD. Degree in the same institution.

Selection Criteria

Selections are based on entrance exam scores of either UGC-NET or GATE or GPAT. These students are exempted from appearing in the internal entrance exam.

If students are not qualified for the above-mentioned national exams, then they would have to appear for an internal University Entrance exam.

Students would further be shortlisted for PI and GD.

Course : M.Phil.

Eligibility Criteria

Students with a valid master’s degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate in the desired subject are eligible for admissions. The degree must be from a recognized university or institution.
