Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna, has not been ranked by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) yet. NIRF is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank higher education institutions in the country based on various parameters such as teaching, learning, research, outreach, and inclusivity.

The ranking system is done every year and includes universities and colleges from across the country. However, AKU has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'B' grade. NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit higher education institutions in the country based on their academic standards and quality.
