AMU Admission is done in two ways: the Departmental Admission Test (conducted at Aligarh) and Entrance Exam (conducted at designated centers).

Admission to B.Sc (H)/ BA (H)/ B.Com (H) and BSW is offered on the basis of candidates’ scores in the Admission Test (All India Level) conducted by AMU. Controller Exam.

B.Sc (H) (Agricultural Science)/ BA (H) (Shia/ Sunni/ Foreign Languages)/ BRIT/ B.P.Ed and B.Li.Sc admissions are granted through the admission test conducted by the concerned department of AMU.

BA-LL.B/ B.Ed and MBA entrance exams are conducted at Aligarh, Kozhikode, and Kolkata only.

B.Tech/ B.Arch Admissions are done on the basis of AMUEEE which is conducted at different locations while BE (Evening) admissions are done through Written Tests.

A valid score in NEET is mandatory to secure admission in MBBS/ BDS and BUMS.

MCA/ M.Sc/ MA/ M.Ed/ MFA/ M.Li.Sc/ M.P.Ed/ MIRM/ MFA and MHRM admission tests are conducted by the concerned departments of AMU only.

GATE-qualified candidates can apply for the M.Tech program. In the case of remaining seats, AMU conducts its own Departmental Admission Test.

MD/MS and MDS admission are based on a valid score in NEET PG and NEET MDS respectively.

AMU conducts a Written Test followed by an Interview to offer admission to the Ph.D. program.
