The Class 10 general science exam that was scheduled to take
place on March 13, has been cancelled by the Board of Secondary Education Assam
(SEBA). The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or matric exam for the
general science course has been cancelled by the board as a result of media
reports that the question paper had been leaked.
The Assam board will, however, announce the new due date for
the general science paper for the HSLC 2023. The SEBA claimed that reports made
on social media that handwritten sample test questions for the general science
class 10 subject had been given could have led to confusion in a statement
posted on 12 March.
A handwritten sample question paper for the HSLC exam in
general science (C3), which will be held on March 13, 2023 (Monday), is in the
possession of some candidates, and it has also been circulated on social media,
according to SEBA, who also added that the board has opened an investigation
into this matter and will take all necessary action in this regard.

Class 10 exams for the Assam board were scheduled to start
on March 3 and end on March 20. 4,22,174 students are scheduled to sit the
Assam board HSLC examinations this year, while 912 places across the state are
hosting the matric tests.
The board has already cancelled the English exam due to
claims that pupils at Cachar's JR Ucchotor Madhyamik Vidyalaya Gonirgram Higher
Secondary examination centre engaged in fraudulent exam preparation.
