Sarala Birla University

Private unitary university Sarala Birla University is self-supporting. The Jharkhand Legislative Assembly passed the Sarala Birla University Act of 2017 (Jharkhand Act. 13, 2017) in 2017. According to the Law Department Notification No. 504 dated 4th July 2017, the Sarala Birla University Act 2017 was published in the Jharkhand Gazette on that day. According to the Act of 2017, Smt. Jayashree Mohta, the first Chancellor of Sarala Birla University and Honorary Chairperson of Bharat Arogya & Gyan Mandir, leads the Board of Governors responsible for managing the university.

The SBU Ranchi campus is located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on property owned by Bharat Arogya & Gyan Mandir that spans almost 60 acres and is located at Birla Campus, Vill-Ara,Ranchi-Purulia Highway.
