By virtue of Act No. 6 of 2017, RISU has been established as the Rajasthan Government State University. First Vice Chancellor of RISU is Dr. Lalit K. Panwar, a former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and secretary of the Indian government. Up to this point, 96 skill-related institutions have joined forces, and over 3000 students are enrolled in these institutions to pursue skill-based courses. The linked universities' first semester began in July 2018. RISU is a successful institutional initiative that helps the State execute the National Skills Qualification Framework. As a government university, RISU serves as the governing authority for numerous organisations that provide skill and vocational training.
