The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University Which was formerly known as Shekhawati University is a Public state university which is situated in the village of Katrathal of the Sikar District of the Indian state of Rajasthan.

The sole purpose of the university is to cater to the study needs of the students from the Shekhawati region, with good quality of education and teaching faculty this university is making its name in Rajasthan.

Shekhawati University was established in the Year 2012 by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly through passing The Shekhawati University, Sikar Bill, 2012. The jurisdiction of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University is the Shekhawati region which comprises the Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu districts of the Rajasthan State.

The Shekhawati University Campus is spread over 61 Acres of land which is near Village Katrathal on State Highway 8, which would be constructed soon. The university was operated from a temporary campus in Sikar Behind the Government Girls College, Sikar. The Shekhawati university is now shifting to a permanent college in 2021.
