In Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, there is a National Law University called the NUSRL (NUSRL). It was founded as the fourteenth National Law University of India by an act of the State of Jharkhand (Act No. 4 of 2010). The university's current Vice-Chancellor is Kesava Rao Vurrakula, who succeeded Gautam Kumar Choudhury as Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge).He formerly served as Vishakhapatnam's Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University's Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge). The university's first vice chancellor, A.K. Koul, was an expert in WTO law and international trade law in general. He formerly served as National Law University, Jodhpur's vice chancellor.On the outskirts of Ranchi, between Birsa Agricultural University and Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences, the university is situated on Kanke-Pithoria Road, which is bordered by Outer Ranchi Ring Road. On April 26, 2010, Justice Gyan Sudha Misra, the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court and a future Supreme Court justice, officially inaugurated it. One of India's major National Law Universities is located on the 63.76-acre campus. With its research editable reports in Harvard and Yale law journals, it was placed seventh in the Qs global ranking of Indian law schools and will continue to be the 12th top law and research university in the South East region in 2021.
