Darbhanga Kameshwar Singh Sanskrit institution (KSDSU) is a governmental institution in the Indian state of Bihar that focuses on teaching and promoting the ancient language.
Maharajadhiraj sponsored the Darbhanga Sanskrit University building.
KSDSU was founded in 1961, and Umesh Mishra, a scholar, served as the institution's first vice chancellor. The university's founding was proclaimed by Satyendra Narayan Sinha, who served as united Bihar's Minister of Education at the time. The Bihar government received Kameshwar Singh's ancestral Anand Bagh Palace as a gift to use as a university to advance Sanskrit. Currently, the university's main administrative building is this palace.
One awareness campaign has been held. From 1974 until 1980, Ram Karan Sharma, a poet and scholar of Sanskrit, served as vice chancellor.
