Haridev Joshi Institution of Journalism and Mass Communication (HJU) is a public institution in the Indian city of Jaipur. A university with an identical name but a slightly different abbreviation of HJUJ was founded in 2012 by the Congress government through an Act of the Government of Rajasthan and was dissolved in 2015 by the next BJP government. The Congress government retook office in December 2018, and a new university for media and mass communication — HJU — was established on the grounds of ancient Khasa Kothi by State Legislature Act No. 11 of 2019.
