About GJU University

The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology is located in  Hisar, and was established on 20 October 1995 by an Act of Legislature of the state of Haryana. It was later formally inaugurated on 1st of Novermber 1995 and was named after the Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of the 15th century. 

The GJU University campus is stretched over about 372 acres of land and is located about 1 Km from the Hisar Airport, 2 Km from the Blue Bird Lake, around 3 Km from the bus station along the National Highway 9 ( which was called NH 10) , 4 Km from the town center and Main market area; 6 Km from the Hisar Junction railway station; 6 kilometer from Mahabir stadium; 167 km from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi; and 180 Km from the New Delhi railway station.

The University provides eight teaching blocks and there are 149 residential houses for the employees of GJU. The University also has the branches of Punjab national bank with ATM, A post office, and a police station. It also provide the facility of its own cafeteria for the students and the candidates.
