The Prime Minister Narender Modi today chaired a high level meeting with the CBSE officials and various other officials involved with the conducting 12 board exams. The meeting ended with the end on speculations about the fate of 12 class board exams as earlier the 10 class board exams were cancelled. The high level meeting unanimously decided that the status of exams be postponed from their earlier status of postponed. The exams were cancelled keeping in mind the safety of the students as the country is reporting huge number of daily covid cases and the daily death toll over 3000 for last 20 days straight.
This comes as various entrance exams like NEET, IIT, JEE, CLAT and NET for PhD got postponed indefinitely. Additionally various UG and PG entrance exams for leading Universities like Delhi University, JNU, BHU, KUK, Jaipur University and others like Chandigarh University too got postponed keeping in mind the safety of the students and challenges in conducting the exams with number of difficult and expensive protocols to be followed.
